When I found out that this was a mystery about an abandoned amusement park by one of my favorite authors, Mary Downing Hahn, I couldn’t wait to read it and this book did not disappoint me.
In the book, thirteen-year-old, Logan Forbes moves from the larger city of Richmond to a smaller town of Bealesville, Virginia. Unfortunately the previous owner of the Forbes house dies under mysterious circumstances so Logan and his next door neighbor Arthur start investigating. Their search leads them from the attic, to the library, to a cemetery, to the local Wal-Mart, and finally to an abandoned amusement park and everywhere in between.
The story is so amazing and creepy and it scares you in just the right places. I would recommend this book to anyone that loves a great mystery…you won’t be disappointed.
