I like Heartbeat by author Sharon Creech because it is a story in poetry form.

Twelve-year-old Annie has some problems.  She loves to run barefoot with her friend Max, but she disappoints him.

Her Grandpa may be ready to “kick the bucket.”  And Mom is just about ready to have an “alien baby.”

This book has lots of excitement and sadness.  Read it to find out more.

Heartbeat is a book of poems that make up a story.

If I had to pick a favorite book, this would definitely be in my top three.  I strongly recommend this book.

One of the best parts of the story was when baby Joey was born.

I liked this book because I love to run, too, but not barefooted.
