| Kenny the Rabbit could hardly wait to see the dragon that his father discovers one day living in the sheep fields. Donning a pan as a helmet, he cautiously goes to investigate. Much to his surprise, this dragon (named Grahame) is a very nice fellow—not at all like those in the books he has read. The dragon loves to read and quotes poetry, and his favorite desert is crème brûlée. Grahame becomes his best friend. When the people in the village of Roundbrook learn of his existence, paranoid terror runs rampant. Kenny goes for advice from his friend George, only to find that George has been asked by the king to slay the dragon. It’s now up to Kenny to figure out how to save Grahame while satisfying the villagers and the king. The stage is set for one of the best known battles in history – the legendary showdown between St. George and the dragon. --2011-2012 Golden Sower Award Manual Learn about author, Tony DiTerlizzi. |
